This blog is meant to discuss and review all things horror. As a one-man show (Riley is my name, hence the blog title), I will first put forth that it is impossible for me to watch or otherwise bear witness to everything in this recently revitalized industry. So, until I get my future fame and fortune, I do hereby solemnly swear to do my best. This blog is meant to talk about horror and will do so through reviews, top lists and a wide variety of articles on movies you may have missed or in defense of insert berated horror movie here. I'll watch trailers and complain about a reoccurrence or two and in the long run, I'll probably fall behind on the blog itself. But, for now here I am.
I'm a child of modern horror- perhaps the biggest fan of The Conjuring and James Wan, but also a fan who can respect movies known as "classics." Not to say I particularly like them in today's context but that I can certainly acknowledge them as the forefathers of horror. I truly love The Exorcist and
The Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream and The Descent, and then a whole bunch of movies in between. I followed movies like The Green Inferno and The Babadook from production to completion and am at least somewhat versed on the genre. I'm not crazy, nor am I sitting in a basement, absorbing Hot Topic promo codes like there's no tomorrow. Instead I am a normal, insightful person with a slightly above average knowledge and passion for horror movies and shows. I love Lore podcast, can't sit through glaringly bad movies and hate films that are ~so bad, they're good~
My first article, in an attempt to begin somewhat relevantly, is a review of Under The Shadow- so look for it, and also watch this movie, it's great.
